We enjoy very warm relationships with our schools and don’t feel the need to write out onerous terms and conditions. But to protect our livelihoods, and to ensure you get the best possible service from us, we have a few things we ask schools to agree to:

Whilst we have to apply the payment terms below, we know all schools are different, and so we listen to any specific requests regarding payment made at the time of booking.
We rarely ever have to cancel or postpone a booking. If one of us is unavailable, either the other steps in, but we also work with a very small and select group of associate trainers, all of whom have their own training organisations, and many of whom have been doing P4C longer than we have. And so in the very rare case that circumstances arise meaning we can’t fulfil a booking between the two of us, we may call on them to take our place and we have every confidence they’ll deliver a day that exceeds your expectations.
It’s never happened, but if you and you were unsatisfied with your booking, we will offer you a refund with no-quibbles.
If we do have to cancel or postpone a booking due to our own circumstances, we will not charge any fee to your school.
Not all schools can pay for staff training, and some teachers not currently in schools have to self-fund their own training. To allow them to be trained, we occasionally invite them to come see us in action when we're at a school. We will always notify you if this is the case.
Payment Terms For In-school bookings
Dates of bookings are agreed in advanced between you, the school, and us. When you have made a booking, we have committed that time to you and may well have rejected other fee-paying work for that slot. We shall have the right to charge for booked time, whether or not you use it, in line with the following:
For bookings for the first 7 working days of September and January:
Cancellation over 6 months in advance of the training date: 0% charge
Cancellation between 3-6 months in advance of the training date: 50% charge
Cancellation under 3 months in advance of the training date: 100% charge
For bookings for any other time of year:
Cancellation over 1 month in advance of the training date: 0% charge
Cancellation between 15-30 days in advance of the training date: 50% charge
Cancellation within 14 days advance of the training date: 100% charge
We do our best to invoice for fees and expenses in the week of the booking (it may be shortly before, or shortly after, the first day of the booking), and these are payable within 21 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts to cover both the administrative costs of following up the overdue amounts, and overdraft charges of our bank. Unless specific payment terms have been agreed in writing (and agreement to your requests will never be unreasonably withheld!) we reserve the right to charge £30 p/week.
Payment Terms for Open Courses
By purchasing a ticket for one of our Open Courses, you are reserving a place on the course. The invoice will be issued automatically with your purchase, and this is payable within 21 days as specified on the invoice, unless other terms have been agreed between you and us.
Cancellation charges (irrespective of whether payment has been made)
Over 3 months in advance of the course: 0% charge of the overall fee
Between 1-3 months in advance of the course: 50% charge of the overall fee
Under 1 month in advance of the course: 100% charge of the overall fee
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts to cover both the administrative costs of following up the overdue amounts, and overdraft charges of our bank. Unless specific payment terms have been agreed in writing (and agreement to your requests will never be unreasonably withheld!) this will be charged at £30 p/week.
